Q. Do you have any recommendations for covering non-granite or stainless steel counter tops instead of using disposable plastic shelf or lining paper?

A. Some people have Formica-type covers professionally made to cover their counters for Pesach. Standard Formica is made of a very thin layer of laminate/plastic glued to a thick piece of wood, and the special Pesach covers are made from the same laminate glued to a thin piece of wood (to make it easier to maneuver and save from year to year).
