Grape Juice

Q. What is the minimum percentage of grape juice mixture to require the bracha of hagafen?

A. If the grape juice is pure (without water or other ingredients added by the manufacturer), then as long as there is at least 1 part grape juice for (just under) every 6 parts of water (about 14%) the bracha is hagafen. If there was more water than that, then the bracha is shehakol. If the manufacturer adds other ingredients, the percentage will depend on the exact formulation of this juice, and you would have to be in touch with the manufacturer, or their certifying body, to obtain details on this.
