Q. I noticed on your liquor list that you specifically do not recommend a specific whisky that I saw listed as acceptable in the liquor list and "kashrus guide" of a European hashgacha. Why is that?


A. The item you saw is a liqueur which requires hashgacha. The European hashgacha that lists that item as approved (but not as certified) follows a lower standard than we do as to which items qualify as "approved". Therefore, although they list it as approved we are not able to recommend the product.
